how is this not a real photo?
My family has an online commerce site and when we switched from Microsoft BCentral as our host to another company out of Georgia out page ranks plummeted! We were in the top 5 on Google and Yahoo and it took about 2 weeks to optimize the new site and get our rankings back. We did not change anything drastically on the page, just some of the text and the look (color scheme, layout) of the site. We got a shopping cart that was much easier to use and had lots of other features like coupon codes and wish lists. At this age, couldn't you do something like "Science Fair Fun" type of display rather than an actual science fair? Have each class do a class project to submit for display.
Hold a fund raiser type activity – Mad Science night or pot luck dinner, whatever and display the class projects around the room for the parents and other students to view. Have a couple of presenters from each class get up and talk about the project their class did.
Its not "science fair" but it would be a good introduction to it for the kids.
